“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:11
This booklet helps children memorize the Bible by challenging them to interact with each Scripture passage in these three ways:
1. Read It
The first step in memorizing God’s Word is to read it carefully. It is best to read the verse you are memorizing several times out loud so that your voice, ears, and mind all participate simultaneously in the memorization process.
2. Write It
The second step in memorizing God’s Word is to write every word of the verse you are memorizing. For this workbook, it is best to use a pencil so that once you have finished writing out the verse you can erase it and start again.
3. Draw It
The third step in memorizing God’s Word is to draw a picture of the verse you are memorizing. This is a fun and creative way to think about what the verse is teaching.
