The high priest would go to the altar,
An innocent lamb would be slain.
Year after year blood was offered
As atonement for sin’s awful wage.
Shepherds would give up their finest
That were spotless and white as the snow.
Though the sight of the offering was painful
A song of gratitude rang in their souls.

Behold, our God makes ev’rything new.
These words are faithful and true!
Gone are transgressions, the blood speaks for you,
For our God makes ev’rything new.

In fulness of time came the Savior,
Immanuel, God dwelt with man,
And just as a lamb would be slaughtered
He would offer Himself for our sins.
Low in the tomb lay the Master.
Is it finished just as He had said?
Then the quickening work of the Father
Rose Jesus Christ from the dead!

Behold, our God makes ev’rything new.

The story is yet to be finished.
Prophetcy will be complete.
Sin will be cast out and banished,
And the curse of our nature released.
Tears will be dried by the Father.
Time is a prison no more!
For all former things have been forgotten!
We’ll stand in His presence restored!
