I Glory in the Cross!

I glory not in who I am, or who I used to be.

I glory not in gifts the Lord has given unto me.

Although my flesh will naturally give praise to selfish things,

I know that if it weren’t for Christ, I’d have no song to sing.

 

I glory in the cross! I glory in the Son!

I glory in the sacrifice that Christ has made for everyone!

I glory in the Lamb, Who rose in victory!

Sin’s wage is paid for all who will believe!

I glory in the cross!

 

I lay aside my idols, I glory not in those,

For anything that takes the place of God we should oppose.

My inner man is made alive! The Lord is all I need,

For I am dead to all the world. The world is dead to me!
